✿ ABOUT CHANMYAY YEIKTHA MEDITATION CENTER

Chanmyay Yeiktha is mainly a Vipassana Meditation centre, but metta meditation is also taught when it is necessary. Teachers recommend metta meditation for about 3 days before a meditator starts his vipassana practice . Both monks and lay mediators practise there. Foreign meditators also practise meditation there. The needs of foreign mediators are well provided. The abbot and chief meditation master is Chanmyay Sayadaw Ashin Janakabhivamsa. There are some experienced assistant teachers who speak English in the centres. The main centre is in Yangon. There are some branches in Hmawbi, Hinthada, Leiway, Pyin Oo Lwin (May Myo), Taunggyi and Tamu. There are also some branches in Thailand, Newzealand, Singapore, U.S.A, Canada and South Africa.
